Homeschool Newsgroups & Networks
OCEANetwork (Oregon Christian Home Education Association Network) click to learn
A great resource for finding articles, laws, support groups and other info within our state. Visit their website.
SACHSN (Salem Area Christian Home School Network)
They host a Home School Round Up twice a year where you can meet homeschooling group and support leaders in person. You can also meet representatives or organizations that offer classes to home educated children. Keep an eye on our calendar for the date and time!
You can subscribe to their monthly newsletter which has ideas and opportunities in it ($10/$14 per year) by contacting Colleen Busch at 503-390-8043 or bob_busch@yahoo.com.
Find on-line support at their facebook page by going to this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/SACHSNews/
SACHSN has a lending library… click to learn
… and you need to contact the SACHSN librarian (Liane Yarborough) if you would like a SACHSN library card. You give Liane the check/cash for $10. Corban will issue you a “Corban library card” when you show them the receipt from SACHSN.
Please be sure to purchase your card through SACHSN (vs. through Corban) as they will use the funds to purchase new items for their shelves to also help them remain established at the library.
Class Opportunities
Contact info for each class/camp, class/camp varieties, and fees all are subject to change. We find it best to link to the individual websites as each organization will update their information as needed.
If you know of any others to have us add to our list, please e-mail us at: legacyguard@gmail.com. Thanks!
