Homeschool Co-ops

Classical Conversations of Salem

A tuition-based academic homeschool group that…

…meets once a week for 24 weeks [Elementary age children] and once a week for 30 weeks [Junior high & Senior high children].  We use the trivium to educate ourselves and our children classically.  Our national website is  For more info you may e-mail Pam Lee at

FIGS…. Filling In The Gaps (Christian)

is an elective based co op that…

…meets weekly at Court Street christian Church downtown.  We include weekly classes of PE, Art, and Presentation (book reports, show and tell, etc.) and also drama.  We have boys and girls club activities once a month and celebrate parties with our friends and classmates as well.  We also create a yearbook to preserve all the great memories and reach out with community service activities.  We are currently full with many families on an interested list.  The leaders are happy to “mentor” anyone interested in starting a similar group though!

Cornerstone Homeschool Co-op (Christian):

is an academic based co-op that…

…meets weekly in Salem on Mondays. We are a family oriented group which offers English, Spelling, History, Beginning Spanish, and Science as offered by parents in a one-room schoolhouse model. Students are given weekly assignments and present them the following week to the parent assigned to their table and to their classmates for accountability.

The families in this group identify with and keep the Lord’s Feasts found in Leviticus 23 and other Biblical Feasts such as Hanukkah (Yeshua/Jesus, the apostles and disciples celebrated these, too).  Due to our understanding of what Scripture teaches, we do not recognize the modern day church celebrations/holidays. From out understanding of Scripture, we also believe in following Yahweh’s dietary instructions found in Leviticus 11. Parents help teach classes, assist, and families help with clean up. May be extra costs for materials. All ages. This is a ministry of Cornerstone Baptist. For more information click here and/or, contact Heather at

My Father’s World~Exploring Countries and Cultures Co-op:
Currently closed. We meet 2x a month to…

prepare a meal and do a craft or 2 relating to our country of study, as well as go on a few field trips. We are unable to take new members, but I would be happy to share what we have done and what has/has not worked well. Contact Lori Hedlund ( Scott Lori Hedlund on FB)

Homeschool Support Groups

Cornerstone Homeschool Support Group click to learn

Meeting on Fridays, we alternate monthly field trips, ministry/community outreach, fun activities for kids to do while they visit, and time for parents to connect and give each other support.

Out of love and reverence for Yahweh, we believe in keeping His Feasts found in Leviticus 23 and parts of the New Testament. Due to our understanding of what Scripture teaches, we do not recognize the modern day church celebrations/holidays. This is a ministry of Cornerstone Baptist.
