Legacy Homeschool Support Group & Co-op

Welcome! We’re glad you are looking into the Legacy Homeschool Support Group and Co-op!

As a body of believers in Yeshua HaMashiach/Jesus Christ, Legacy Homeschool Co-op families will encourage each other and be a community of support for each other, to love each other as Yeshua/Jesus instructs us to.

How Legacy Homeschool Support Group is Structured 2015-2016:

Field Trips (1-2 times a month)

Activity Day for kids off days from field trips. Moms sign up on a rotation to lead activities for kids to do while they visit.

Moms visit and pray for each other.

This group is consists of believers who have faith in Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah) for Salvation and also believe in seeking/living out Yahweh’s Torah (instructions). As a part of His instructions for life, we believe in keeping the 7th Day Sabbath, keeping Yahweh’s Feasts found in Leviticus, and dietary instructions found in Leviticus (as Yeshua and the Disciples did). We do this out of love and reverence for Yahweh– not to earn salvation. As a part of our understanding of Scripture and personal convictions, we do not recognize the modern church holidays.

If you think this homeschool support group is a good fit for your family, please join us! 🙂

How Legacy Homeschool Academic Co-op is Structured 2015-2016:

This is a one-room school model for K-12th, taught with a Classical Hebraic Biblical Education vs. a Classical Greek Model of Education.

Subjects: English, History, Beg. Spanish, Science.

*English and History are taught with Bible Principles and from a Providential Worldview. In History, we will be covering Ancient Rome to the Protestant Reformation.

*English Orthography games are supportive of the Spell to Write and Read curriculum.

*Science is taught from a Creation perspective.

The way this works is each subject is taught to all of the children at once. Tables are divided in this fashion: K-1st; 2nd-3rd; 4th-5th; 6th-8th; and 9th-12th. There is a mom assigned to each table to help keep kids on track and to help them with class assignments. Some assignments may be given for kids to do during the week at home. The following week, they will present their work to their classmates and the mom at their table. It’s up to parents to grade their own children’s work, however, the mom at the table will check off that the assignment is complete.

As with the support group, this co-op group consists of believers who have faith in Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah) for Salvation and also believe in seeking/living out Yahweh’s Torah (instructions).
